Boudin Noir and Fifth Leg Red

There was an article on the Boudin Noir festival in Mortagne-au-Perche in the newspaper today. Agent Triple P has actually visited said town in Normandy during a particularly enjoyable holiday with VA, the lovely J and Agent DVD. This was a holiday notable for the authentically rustic culinary experiences, obscure Loire wines and sheer variety of athletic sexual positions we enjoyed with VA.

Sadly, by the time I got there, the Leadenhall Market French sausage seller had packed up for the week so we now feel rather bereft. It is a similar feeling to that which we experienced earlier in the week when B sent us an e-mail to say she was in London but it was caught by our spam filter so we didn't pick it up until after she had returned to the Continent and so, as a result, we missed her (as, indeed I still do).

It being Friday we feel the need to get some sort of unhealthy sausage in for supper. A trip to Waitrose might be called for but unfortunately we had far too much Devil's Lair Fifth Leg (from the southern end of the Leeuwin Peninsula in Western Australia) at lunch time to safely drive. Fifth Leg red is a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Shiraz blend from Margaret River. Oh well, we will just have to make do with our smoked Cheddar from the splendid cheese shop in Leadenhall Market (called, with enormous originality, Cheese).
