About Me:

I'm now offering affordable, professional freelance editorial services to authors. I have worked for more than 13 years as a full-time professional writer and editor. My nonfiction editing experience includes serving since 1998 as Associate Editor for AAA's regional Kentucky publications: AAA Traveler and Home & Away. My fiction editing experience includes having served as a copy editor for Wings ePress (2004), a copy and content editor for Whiskey Creek Press (2004), and an acquisitions and content editor for Samhain Publishing (2005-2007). Additionally, I have edited on a freelance basis for best-selling author Shiloh Walker and J.M. Martin. (Please see examples of edited titles, listed below.)

Schedule of Fees:

Unlike most freelance editors, I don't charge by the word. My rates are based on the length of your manuscript and are described below. All packages include a double review, meaning I provide each of the described services on an initial editing and/or proofreading round, and then following your review, each service is completed again. This insures the most consistency and accuracy in our work together.

Content Editing and Copyediting
Novella Length (under 40,000 words) - $150
Novel Length (40,000-110,000 words) - $250
Long Novel Length (110,000+ words) - $350
Your manuscript will be evaluated for inconsistencies in viewpoint, characterization, conflict and plot, as well as for incomplete storylines, ineffective or inconsistent dialogue, appropriate setting descriptions, narrative tone and more. In the copyediting phase, spelling, grammar and punctuation errors and inconsistencies will be pointed out to the author. This package also includes formatting your manuscript properly for electronic publication at Smashwords, Amazon (for Kindle Direct) and PubIt (for Barnes & Noble online), as well as CreateSpace (for paperback publishing through Amazon).
